Following the theme of our August workshops and as we get closer to Father’s Day next month we’ve been working on some more cards.

Here are some for the car or bike enthusiast.

Both cards were embossed using the Couture Creations’ Large Cogs embossing folder.  Then two different methods were used with the Couture Creations’ Gears die cuts (See below).

For the blue My Guy card, a piece of Antique Ionised Silver metallic paper was randomly stamped using the Versacolour multi metallic pigment inkpad (305 Lustre), embossed with clear embossing powder and the Gears dies cut out.

For the Boys will be Boys card, the gears were cut from of Antique Ionised Silver metallic paper, then affixed to a piece of Copper Crushed Silk metallic paper.  Then both the paper and affixed gears were randomly stamped with Versacolour multi metallic pigment inkpad, embossed with clear embossing powder.  This was repeated with Versamark clear inkpad over the entire paper and gears and clear embossing powder, to give a greater textured effect. Set on a background of black paper it gives a great highlight.

The sentiment stamps were from the Kaisercraft off the Wall clear acrylic stamp set.

A great new range of cutting dies from Poppy Crafts has arrived.  I love the little border butterflies, stars or hearts and they start at $6.95! Nesting dies too. See What's New

We also have their beautiful jewel range – in ombre colour range – blue, green, pink to red, champagne to amber.  Plus white pearls and clear diamantes (with some tiny stars just right for Christmas bling!).  All in a handy multi-size pack and great value.  See BLING!

We are always on the lookout for something good to put on a card for our men.  This month our class will feature some great papers, stamps and dies.  Timely too with Father’s Day coming up next month.

We will be featuring the Four Square Stand Up Card as well.  Easy and a great way to display all your hard work (while keeping your personal message private as it tucks under!)
