We had lots of fun in the classes this month coming up with more ideas for using your mini envelope punch.
I was taken by Dahlia Memories confetti challenge card using a vellum envelope.
So in class we used the Memories R Us Envelope Punch Board to create the envelope and took up the challenge to use ‘shaped confetti’ for other celebrations
Here’s my version of the original and a birthday version using stars as the 'confetti'.
I also found that vellum is easily punched with the mini envelope punch.
I started with a card simple one using flowers and butterflies punched from glitter card. Then I thought of other types of ‘shaped confetti’ - like all those party scatters we have left over just sitting in the cupboard – so once I started I went from the simple to the ridiculous! But what kid doesn’t want a T-Rex birthday card?

This month we will be making three cards from easy to intermediate, featuring one I made for our wedding anniversary. With Mother’s Day fast approaching I did a different colour and for a birthday version I put butterflies instead of hearts flying out of the envelope. With your favourite colour and different greetings it makes a lovely, versatile card for any occasion.
For those who visited the recent Melbourne PaperArts show I featured a small/gift card using washi tape and the punched mini-envelope. Very cute! This standard sized card is another great use of the versatile mini-envelope.
I’ll be sticking to the envelope theme and we will also make a card with a big envelope creatively using the Sizzix label framelits.
