A very important part of the card, backgrounds can be so beautiful and essential to highlighting that special embellishment - like Kaisercraft feathers, or Couture Creations Intricutz Turtle.

In the July classes, we will be using some of the first supplies we ever bought when starting our card making – inkpads - and we will see they are not just for stamping!  Used imaginatively in a variety of ways we can create great colourful backgrounds.

In this month’s workshops, we’ll be exploring a number of different techniques such as daubing, masking and use a brayer to create this great ombre effect.

Want a very special card?  One that is a bit more of a present as well as a card?

Well, this month’s Challenge construction card is for you.  This stand up photo frame card* will be the toast of the mantelpiece or desk when you include a great photo to give that special someone.

Sounds hard?  It’s not – just fun!

As we make a template first you’ll have the hang of it before we get to make the real thing. You’ll learn the tips and tricks for a great outcome and a special card that will have everyone saying how clever you are!

We’ll be using some wonderful Alison Ellis papers to give it elegance and glitter embellishments to make it sparkle!
