We had a very imaginative group in class today - thanks ladies!
These lovely cards were made using a masking technique and Colorbox inks daubed in a circular motion to get the beautiful colours, so skillfully blended, to create lovely backgrounds for our Couture Creations Intricutz dies of shells and turtles.

Kaleidacolour Ombre inkpads were a perfect match for the brayer technique used to create the light to dark colour combination to highlight the matching feather embellishments. All subtly finished with the new Poppy Crafts ombre jewels. What a great match!

Yes, it’s winter. But the silver lining is that it just gives us an excuse to look for indoor projects – so lots more time for card making and papercrafts!

For silver lining inspirations see our silver papers in the SHOP - What’s New page.
You know I can't pick just one!
I love these new dies! Shells, turtles and the sea. So I have been looking for something more than the dauber background I did as a sample for the July class. I found these lovely washi tapes and blue swirls became the sea!.
I die cut the starfish from gold glitter paper but it needed some more texture, so I daubed it with some Versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder. Now it looks like it might have been at the bottom of the ocean!
There's also a great ocean waves frame and seagulls set for inspiration. I'm thinking black and white for it.
I'll be trying out the stamps next, especially the seahorse and starfish.
