With all that is going on I haven't had a chance to post but last weekend, we were very happy to see a few participants who joined in what will be our last classes for a while.  We all were careful in keeping to the government's suggested distancing and extra hygiene practices so we could have some safe fun.

While there was lots of chat about the Coronavirus COVID 19 and how we were all coping, there was still loads of creativity with wonderful animals from the Creative Dies Stamp and Die sets coloured by glorious Prismacolor pencils and Tombow pens.

Plus the black and white filigree effects of Creative Stamping Focal Collection with a hint of colour over-stamping.  They really pop with bright card backgrounds.

With the small numbers I even finished the little purple card, with a cute striped effect, using Kaisercraft metallic gel pens.

Paperspecs in their article on the Impact of Colour and Texture, say that 'colors and textures are inherent, inextricable parts of design'.

Color is one of the most powerful and noticeable forms of communication. It directs us: Red makes us stop and green lets us go. It speaks to us: The sunshine yellow of blooming daffodils tells us we’re finally free from the long, long winter.

Surface textures can also elicit sensual responses ... people still want to touch and feel print on paper.

Colour is amazing - it can even change your mood - it can make us happy, make us anxious, make us calm - and colouring is a well known practice of mindfulness.

Using the wonderful Creative stamps and die sets, we'll create spectacular cards by colouring up a storm, whether it's one colour, two or a whole box full!  We'll be using the beautiful Prismacolor premium colouring pencils and tombow pens.

And we'll teach you how to colour on BLACK card - often called Black Magic Colouring!
